Dr. Fayez Basha

Dr. Basha is a highly qualified General Surgeon with a subspecialty in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery. Having obtained both his Bachelors Degree in Medicine and Masters Degree in Surgery from Damascus University in Syria, he received his higher General Surgical and Advanced Laparoscopic training in the United Kingdom. He gained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Ireland) in 1998..

Dr. Basha is a well-known Obesity “Bariatric” Surgeon in UAE. He has experience over 25 years. It spans from Europe to the Middle- east including Syria, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. He worked in Syria as a Specialist General Surgeon at the Military Hospital of Damascus. And then in Saudi Arabia he was the Chief of Surgery in two leading hospitals including the prestigious King Khalid Hospital. He moved to the UAE in 2004 where he worked as a Specialist General /Laparoscopic Surgeon and the Chief of Surgery in Emirates Hospital in Dubai, and later and until recently he has been running an independent private practice with privileges at several hospitals in Dubai.
